sorry, maybe another dumbass question, but isnt a forward pass by definition, a pass made that went forward infront of the person who passed it? if you threw it behind the 10m line and it ends up infront of it, isnt the end result a forward pass? regardless of whether it "floated" or not?

If some theoretically threw a ball backwards, and then a theoretical gust of wind blew it 10 metres forward, it would still be a legal pass. Of course the majority of fans don't know this, and would boo when it was let go.

how does a backward pass float forward? the wind caught it did it?

my response is - dont over think it.

dont go there man, its physics apparently....

 Being dumb is definitely the easy option and suits you to a tee.

Still, I think the commentators were kidding themselves talking up how obvious it was that it was thrown backwards out of the hands. Flat at best.

Seems to be a plethora of idiots here who have no idea about the physics of projectile motion and its relationship to two dimensional co-ordinate geometry.

The biggest idiot of all being the clown who wrote the NRL Rulebook.

The pass was f**king forward!! Get it?? Damn f**king FORWARD!!

I imagine they are in record breaking territory

Earlier on,someone mentioned that no team has had 0-0-0 against their records.

The TAB will put on a promo for next weeks game Broncos V Sharks..."if the Sharks score,we'll give you double your money back!"

ok thanks i get it now.

btw its not dumbarse, you dumbass.

As they pointed out, it is all based on how it leaves the hands which can make calls on passes from running players extremely difficult to judge, especially from any sort of distance.
Though I would of loved to see Feki score, I won't complain when a ref or touchie backs themselves and makes a call on the fly when it comes to calls like that, it's the whole momentum and how it leaves the hands that the video ref cannot rule on it, so I'll just applaud the touchie for the confidence to back himself on a split second decision that no one else on the field was in a position to rule on.
