1. DWZ
6. Moylan
7. Soward

Or a myriad of other guys you have that can play fullback...

Really? I wouldn't be moving Moylan, he has been absolutely dynamite back there. Same as Milf, I wouldn't be moving a gun No.1 into the halves and potentially putting him in a mindset where he has to almost artificially become a playmaker, rather than it coming naturally as it has in recent rounds.

Cartwright perhaps?

Anyway, that was the best game of the year unless I missed something.

I think I read a stat the other day that McGuire hadn't made an error yet in 2014? Decent time to make one.

How wasn't that a penalty in the last 10 minutes when Thaiday was ruled to have knocked on after having to get up with a guy attached to his back?

Tragic that this game was in such a shitty timeslot for what promised to be a great game and delivered.

Thaiday was going for a quick play the ball. Taylor can't just disappear. In any case it was less crucial than the try that wasn't.

How many more games do we have to win for us to be a shoe in for the finals series?

I stated in another thread that I had a glimpse of teams that made the final 8.

It averaged to around 26 (25.7) points to actually make the final 8th spot with the highest points for getting 8th spot 30 and the lowest 24.

Comp points for 8th spot for last 10 seasons.

2013:28

2012:28

2011:28

2010:28

2009:29

2008:30

2007:24

2006:28

2005:28

2004:26

The average to win the minor premiership is 40-42 comp points.

One of many tough calls against the Broncos tonight but as frustrating as those were it wasn't what decided the result.

Well done to Penrith. Very gutsy effort without Mansour & Peachey for large durations of the match. Not a whole lot in it but just had an edge over the Broncos in the ruck and Moylan had a ripper of a game.

As for Brisbane, well, you'd have to say they're on a slippery slope. Three losses in row and at least two of them they had their chances to win but just came up with some very dusty plays. I don't think they were ever a chance of winning a premiership anyways but there's plenty of potential there, just a lack of discipline in defence and a lack of composure in offence.

I'd estimate 2 more wins needed but maybe 1 would be enough.

In reality we will start favourite in 5 of our last 8 games, so 36 points is certainly available to us. This would put us in the Top 4 for sure.

The games we will have trouble winning are away games vs Roosters, Manly and Bulldogs. Dragons away will be tough too. Close to evens this one.
