The Storm are just lacking that polish to finish off ATM.
They seem to go through it after Origin most years but they have less time to find it this year.

All I will say..is the dogs fans may as well purchase their GF tickets from now. That defense was exceptional, from a team missing a few key players.
Deserved the win. Congrats dogs.

Brilliant by our boys, kept turning up again and again. A massive defensive performance and a HUGE win by the boys.

Great defensive effort from both teams.
Melbourne got beat. A missed conversion separated the two sides.
A few bad decisions from My storm but oh well we played a pretty good side and we couldn't score more than 1 try but I believe you're as good as your opposition let's you.
Good win doggies.
Not losing faith in my team. Plenty of good signs tonight and step in the right direction.
We'll win the premiership.

Here's my two cents....a great game to watch and gutsy from both teams.

Both teams were willing to throw the ball around as well and this was a refreshing aspect to a tight game.

Kasiano and Graham were strong tonight as were Proctor and Bromwich and there was really not much in the forward battle.

Mitch Brown was strong and if there is any truth to him leaving the Dogs then he will have no problems landing a contract elsewhere.

As for Smith taking a shot in the last three mins...not a smart move really IMO.

Bad decision from Smith considering it was a sideline kick and he's left footed but what dissapointed me most was we didn't take a shot at the win when we are pretty good at an all or nothing situation.

I can understand the reasoning for it.

Gets it we go level, miss and dogs catch it hopefully they could get them in goal, or ball goes dead from the kick.

Out of those option they still caught the ball and got into the field of play.

It is amazing how great Ben Roberts is when he isn't in your team.

We lost so many last minute opportunities due to his chicp kick/grubber on the 1st/2nd/3rd tackle with 50 seconds to go

A bit late but the reason why Smith didn't take the shot at goal is because he realised they couldn't break the defence of the Dogs... They threw everything they could in the last 10 minutes.

Slater didn't bomb a try... The cover had Cronk, if anything Slater should've thrown a dummy and stepped back on the inside (Was best chance IMO).

Brilliant, high quality game from both sides... I've been to Melbourne 5 times to watch the Bulldogs play Melbourne... First time they've won :)
