It's all sunshine's and friggin lollipops at the raiders too!
We only have a fullback who has signed elsewhere already, a 5/8th playing his 2nd game ever at the position in the top grade, the worlds biggest halfback, playing on a knee that could literally give way any moment now and absolutely no one of any talent or ability at hooker.

The knights are still favored by 6+ points by the bookies. So break it down any way you like, this is very winnable for both sides. Neither are in a great place right now. You dont get to have a mortgage on the "call a spade a spade and acknowledge when you're up shit creek without a paddle in sight." label.

Massive difference. Your mob knew coming into this season where you stood with your key players. The coaching staff had all off season to work out a plan to get the best out of them. You can plan for the possibility of losing your most valuable player in the off season like we did (we signed Dobbo to cover Mullo and Roberts)...but losing the remainder of your spine during round 1 and having that disruption and uncertainty is much different.

It's obviously a winnable game for both sides...no game is ever un-winnable. However I think anyone that thinks the Knights aren't in trouble at the moment is delusional. I'll wait till Sunday to see what team end up taking the field first though before really rating our chances.

Plus take into account that our 2 best front rowers are injured and our traditionally horrible away form.

No, we can't take that into account. Didn't you hear? The knights have some injuries.

Knights.
Simply because I can't see any team losing against this Raiders team with that Raiders coach.

Raiders are specials here with those Knights outs. They're in real trouble and Canberra showed some decent footy against the Cows, despite their loss.

Until those players are absolute confirmed starters, back the house on Canberra.

Your season went to shit when Ferguson was released. Souths declined massively when Inglis was injured. Manly struggle without Stewart. We always struggled without Johns/Gidley/Mullen.

So yeah, one player can make a team when it's a vital position.

Let me correct myself: After he went AWOL.

Doesn't change the fact once he was gone, your team went from mediocre to f**king horrendous.

Actually we were undefeated for four rounds while he was gone.

The rot kicked in when Milford asked for a release in Round 21. Went from 7th to 13th after that. I would say that was the final straw after losing Ferguson and Dugan. Then the coach being sacked a few weeks later.

Swarzey, the Raiders are top 8 certainties and serious top 4 contenders year in, year out. Injury mostly has thwarted their chances of back-to-back premierships several times in the past 5-10 years.

Just ask their fans. We can only hope to get lucky and have the refs on our sides to win this one.
