I think the salary cap in all honesty. It has killed tribalism and fans 'ownership' of their club.
Watching a bunch of non Canterbury players (juniors) go around in a non Canterbury area isn't on the top of their agenda on a cold Saturday night.
The NRL has become a joke. It is an awful spectacle on TV. Even Darts has more atmosphere. Truly embarrassing for our code

Because those who don't have season passes and pick and choose (due to budget or whatever) want to watch a game they feel some emotional need to see.
Watching a bunch of Nevilles (with the exception of Thurston) where there is no rivalry makes it a hard sell.
