I don't think he was milking it. I think he was tucking his head in roll with the momentum but the momentum stopped at the wrong time. Split second decision that ended up really bad.

The players lifted the legs above the body, you can't do that. He obviously lost his orientation and tried to twist out of it. He contributed to his problem but the Storm tackler did plenty wrong himself.

Storm players didn't do a whole heap wrong here. Penalty sufficient IMO as there was clear hands between the legs and a lifting motion.

Was that some storm player complaining that he was milking it while the trainers were tending to him, or (hopefully) was it just some brain dead storm fan in the stands who happened to be near a crowd mic?

Half the issue was that Maclean didn't full go through with the leg left. It was bad for McKinnon that he had two other players on his upper body.
