Have to agree to disagree on that mate.

It should have been a prop charging straight at the posts and Reyno hanging back at the 30m line to pop it over. He doesn't miss those.
I agree and that would have been the smart odds on play, however I'm just saying that if they were to have any chance at the long shot try in the corner, that a few more Souffs players needed to know what was going on.

As I've already stated I'm not a Bunnies fan, however THAT Burgess charge was one of those great moments that make it a great game.

Our props for the majority of that game were Jason Clark and a knocked-out Dave Tyrrell. Huge effort against a monster pack.

Hodkinson has to be one of the best field goal kickers I've seen.

And Pritchard wouldn't have added muscle for the dogs ?
They already have enough muscle.

But let's say Te'o and Pritchard cancel each other out.

That leaves George who was sorely needed in that game.

He plays and his presence surely makes up the 1pt difference.

He could have even attempted the field goal, couldn't be worse than Merritt.

Kasiano appeared definitely short of top grade fitness.

Great game. Amazing atmosphere. Unlucky for souths. Dont know what Meritt was thinking.

Wasn't unlucky, they completely f**ked it up through silly errors and poor decision making.

Clark catches that ball it's pretty much game over. 8 points up.

Then that set where they could of set up right in front and converted instead they went to the corner

They just needed some smarts at the end

It's frustrating to watch because I believe they are a good side but they are starting to full behind the pack

Next weeks game all of a sudden becomes crucial...

Bulldogs will take a lot from these victories...well done to them. But how long can their luck last..

Calmed down a bit. I think we were hard done by with that last try not being obstruction, by the rules. And the drop leading to that try was a clear strip. But thems the breaks. Everyone has a reason to hate the refs this year, just our week

Was a very gutsy effort from a depleted team. Saw some players working harder than I've ever seen from them. And I think we are still in the midst of reorganising the squad, Merritt and Reynolds are next on the chopping block. Congrats to Dogs on getting the job done, I think they have a good squad there

Proud of the boys after that effort. Undersized, outmuscled and basically missing a bench for most of the second half and they were still only a dropped ball and a bad decision away from winning today.

Totally run out of juice for that last 10.

Still, 100,000 x better than the way we played against the Raiders and Tigers.

My ears are still bleeding from the embarassing Souffs chants throughout the match over the stadium PA system. F**king muppets!

The refereeing was atrocious on balance. The consistency was terrible, the only moment where the same rule was policed the same way bought an ironic cheer from the whole crowd. It genuinely seemed like teams were getting randomly penalised for doing the same thing their opposition got away with (be it holding down, laying in the ruck etc) and it went both ways. All of that is to say - this head/assistant referee idea simply is NOT working.

As to the game itself, an utterly dire first half gave way to an exciting, tense, creative and enterprising second. Both teams should be proud of today's game, but the tenacity of the Dogs to pull a win out of a losing position AGAIN... just incredible. Hopefully we can be a bit stronger against Newcastle.
