They need to demolish this arena and build a multi purpose boutique stadium only for Rugby League purposes, for major events like CC finals SL finals test matches instead of going to Wembley or Old Trafford. Let the game stay in the North where it belongs
Where’s the money coming from and who uses it for the rest of the year?

id personally like to see the RFL try and work with and strike a deal with leeds Utd as I can honestly see elland rd being expanded beyond 53k.

Bradford have played the system, seen the flaws in the IMG rating system, exploited it by doing what was necessary and are reaping the rewards from it in the form of the big central funding hand out they’re getting but clubs 13 and 14 aren’t getting as much of. In all honesty, fair play to them, IMG wasn’t and isn’t perfect, we saw that with Cas getting an A grade a year ago, we’ve seen it again with Bradford’s inclusion in Super League. It’s not right, we should have tightened up the grades and points scoring system after the first round of grades but we didn’t and we have to live with the daft decisions we’ve allowed to occur.

It should be Toulouse and York as 13 and 14 for next year, hopefully it is but you don’t know with rugby league.
How can a team that hasn't won anything for years and with dump of a stadium get into Super League against Toulouse who have won something and play in a decent stadium?

So is the grading system the future for P&R?

Probably not. There’s very clear holes in it that have allowed Cas to have been ranked an A Grade during the previous gradings and allowed for Bradford to jump up six places and be 0.25 points off an established Super League club in Hull FC. The whole process has more holes than a racists’ argument and needs a huge overhaul to the points system when you’re seeing stuff like this.

I really wouldn’t be surprised to see IMG pull out or Super League to say they’re ending the partnership with them in the next year or so.

I hope so, and the sooner the better just for their grading policies that see's a club that hasn't won anything for years and plays out of a dump of a stadium gifted a super league place

It's not going to happen.
When Batley shared the ground with the soccer club the soccer wern't happy, hence why Batley moved to a mulit purpose stadium

You’ve lost me mate.
The most recent major stadium built in England is the Hill Dickinson Stadium, home to Everton FC, which is set to host its first season in 2025/26. Other recently completed stadiums include the Brentford Community Stadium, which opened in 2020, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which opened in 2019.
Hill Dickinson.

It helps when you do some research Ay?

Were they built by the British government?

I like the idea of IMG and the idea of a grading system for all that is a returns on investment system. In many cases, it’s worked. Leigh’s rebrand, the increase in crowds at KR, Wakefield’s rejuvenation, Oldham’s growth etc. However, it’s not perfect, the grading system needed tweaking and still does. It was always going to be the case though, the first round was always going to highlight the odd issue.

Personally, I would keep the grading system, it just needs an overhaul. I’m not sure it will be kept though. The Super League clubs have never really been that receptive to IMG and their ideas, they’ve basically gone against them when it came to Magic Weekend and the makeup of the league now too.
