I was going through Melbourne's team list and thought it was a pretty strong side named. And then I saw the halfback.

Just bought tickets to the Charity Shield. All Saints supporter sections are single tickets only. Souffs areas still available. Should get 15k or so?

Duffie has been replaced by Ruebenn Rennie in the game v Easts.

He may have done another ACL.

This has a '94 World Club Challenge feel to it. Brisbane were overwhelming favourites against the travelling Wigan Warriors team. Wigan came out and won 20-14.

The predicted lopsided score line I don't see. I can see the Sydney Roosters winning here in a closer than predicted contest for the most part (the score line may end up flattering the likely victor here). Wigan are in to their season and with it have some cohesion. The Roosters player their first competitive match since October and there will be some ring rust. We are not talking about the well oiled machine that is the in-season Sydney Roosters.

Re: Brisbane Broncos trial vs. NZ Warriors; I wasn't aware that FOXSPORTS were showing this live. Thanks Timmah.

The Poms get fired up far more than we do about the WCC. Wigan's bad start to the season is probably a lot to do with the fact they were focusing on this game.

Josh Dugan to star in the Charity Shield game. I have him as my early pick for NRL Fullback of The Year in 2014 and tonight will be the launching pad.

Great Souths defensive effort or poor attack from Dragons? Williams and Widdop didn't ask too many questions despite having three repeat sets.

lol 3 straights sets, we f*ck it up and the opposition scores. Standard Dragons footy

And we can't even execute a kick-off. Brilliant
