There is always a time in the finals were logic defies belief.

In last season's final series, the Panthers were given next to no chance in facing a team that had won the minor premiership in Easts.

And the Panthers had a win that shook the foundations for the race to the title by defying the odds in a game which will be revered for years to come.

St George Illawarra have that talent and depth to emulate what the Panthers did.

Anyone who thinks that certain teams cannot advance beyond the first game are doomed to fail.

The Dogs players will be treating this game like its their last...which is just as well...Dragons by 7.

I see 4 upsets this week with this I'm least confident about but the Dragons may just throw caution to the wind here and score about 14 points in a low scoring win.

Dogs generally play to the standard of their opposition. They won't be blowing saints away. Dogs by 8

That about sums up the dogs. They can dominate the game but not blow a team away on the score board.

Doggies by 10

Dragons 16-12 after the dogs lead 12-4 at half time, dogs finally to cop the dodgy calls that have been going their way and the dragons to snatch the lead with 10 to go and hold on.

Dragons by 1. Dogs can't get away with only being 5m back forever.

Contrary to popular opinion, the Dogs actually play better with a big 10 and fast play the balls, in attack anyway.

In defense Kasiano in particular can get caught out in a up tempo game.

But overall as I Dogs fan I prefer a fast open game, that style of game would probably suit both teams.

I am expecting both teams to step up and I think we can throw the recent form book out the window, both sides should be better than what we have seen in recent weeks.

I think the Dogs will win, but it will not be an easy game....

Looking at the last 2 games, there are a lot of things both sides need to fix, assuming they both address the issues, it should be a close hard game.

If either side lapses into their recent form the other side could have an easy win.

If the dragons play an upbeat game, limit touch finders and run to scrums they can run the dogs into the ground. I think thats their only chance
