Townsend has never shown much above just being a solid half at best in the NRL and despite the hype around Lolohea I'm yet to see any playmaking or any sort of special passing skills, good ball runner though. Thats why he is better suited to centre.

Townsend has been better than this though, he's atrocious now

I said earlier that Lolohea is used to putting things on for himself- not so much for others. So if he's going to be a half, his creativity is going to need to be less self-focussed.

Not without Johnson alongside him. He's suited to being the Sean Rudder to Andrew Johns. Try to make him the Andrew Johns and he looks totally inadequate. Because he is.

Agree. Lolohea plays like a 20s half, which is exactly what we won't need next year. Imagine if SJ is going through one of his rough trots and the other half is crabbing sideways and thrusting short balls into opposition hands. Tommy L is looking more and more likely to be starting 6 without lacing on a boot.

Would be nice if we had something other than the one single back line move. Or someone who could run direct, it's like our attack is on a 45 degree angle towards the sideline whenever we spread it.

Nothing against Johnathan Wright but I'd much prefer Konrad Hurrell hitting those balls on the edge.

I seriously think we would have had two tries with Hurrell playing. At least one.
