I thought Cowboys were better in general play, and it was really only an extra penalty goal and one try being converted in it in the end. One of the penalty goals was an incredibly soft penalty in the circmstances also.
Cows butchered a couple of chances as well, although that probably comes down to the pressure brisbanes defence put on them.
I thought Brisbanes kicking game, for the large part, was asking for trouble. So much went down the throat of the fullback (although good pressure was kept on Feldt) and the Cowboys were regularly able to get to the 30m line and beyond to start their sets. JT's kick was much flatter and almost always to the ground, forcing Boyd back and lead to alot of tackles in Brisbanes own 10m area.
Brisbanes defence though, as much as it sits back a bit in general play, is certainly good on the line, particularly out wide. They'll be hard to beat for anyone. I almost get the feeling you're better off trying to break them a reasonable distance out (as the Cowboys tried a couple of time), which the Roosters would be capable of, because they seem to lap up the pressure on the line.
Great game of footy though.
