Yeah, I meant the last kick specifically - as soon as it came off the boot I was out of my seat.

Seriously, does Alan Langer ever get off the field. The only reason those Bronco Brats won is because he has to hold their hands the entire game.

I have seen on just two occasions where Trainers have been dismissed from the game by a Referee. Surprised it doesn't happen often enough.

First its the refs, now its the trainers!

Credit to both teams. 50K crowd, a lot of anticipation and they both delivered a classic game of Rugby League.

Very little in it.

North Queensland were far more assertive but lacked a little strike.

Brisbane were tenacious and had enough patience to take the opportunities when they presented themselves.

The game was played at an extremely fast pace and in a relatively good spirit outside of the Adam Blair altercation. I certainly think JT gave as good as he got there mind you, but given Adam's reputation it was a blemish on an otherwise spirited contest.

Plenty of respect between both sides and I thought the match was a wonderful advertisement of the game.

I think the Cowboys will be better for it as well and wouldn't necessarily rule them out either. A big win against either Cronulla or South Sydney followed by a spirited win against the Storm in Melbourne could be just the tonic they need.

Morgan holds the key.

I noticed this as well, not sure if Brisbane's D just nullified the Cow's attack or they just didn't click tonight? Expected more points out of the Cowboys that's for sure.

A bit of both I would say. Brisbanes defense tends to frustrate teams. They make more unforced errors and mistakes under pressure against us.

Teams have to bring their A game to get close to us and perfection to beat us. Of consistency and defense have been our biggest assets this year, everything else has been built of that.

As a cows fan I have to agree .
We were good but have played far better .
& I think the Broncs defence frustrated us .

Hope to meet again in GF
Would be a cracker on neutral ground .

I thought Cowboys were better in general play, and it was really only an extra penalty goal and one try being converted in it in the end. One of the penalty goals was an incredibly soft penalty in the circmstances also.

Cows butchered a couple of chances as well, although that probably comes down to the pressure brisbanes defence put on them.

I thought Brisbanes kicking game, for the large part, was asking for trouble. So much went down the throat of the fullback (although good pressure was kept on Feldt) and the Cowboys were regularly able to get to the 30m line and beyond to start their sets. JT's kick was much flatter and almost always to the ground, forcing Boyd back and lead to alot of tackles in Brisbanes own 10m area.

Brisbanes defence though, as much as it sits back a bit in general play, is certainly good on the line, particularly out wide. They'll be hard to beat for anyone. I almost get the feeling you're better off trying to break them a reasonable distance out (as the Cowboys tried a couple of time), which the Roosters would be capable of, because they seem to lap up the pressure on the line.

Great game of footy though.

MacDougal mentioned it at the time but Reed's effort in the first half to stop a noted finisher like Feldt scoring in that first half turned out to be a huge, huge play.

I think if we were to meet in the GF then I expect Morgan to have a blinder .
He looked a bit hesitant last night .
Didn't have his usual impact .understandable coming back from injury
If we make it that far & meet the Broncs in the big one ,I think he could be the difference in a tight game

Gotta agree with this, it seemed like he was playing a little injured. Not lightning quick like he normally is, the Broncs left side defence had him covered fairly easily.

Whilst I do think Broncos kicking game could be better. I think the bad kicking is a side effect the bad go forward. Hard to find the grass when you are kicking from inside your own 40 every set.

I'm starting to get the impression MrAnonymous isn't a real big Broncos fan.
