Penrith did a Canterbury on Canterbury.
The Panthers knew that the Dogs only hope in this game because of the sewltering conditions,was to intimidate them.
But the Panthers had other ideas led by Brent Kite.They made sure that every tackle they made in the first 30 minutes of this game had grit and determination behind it.
There was no doubt that the Panthers had to work very hard against a seasoned outfit.
And all this extreme effort,in oppressive conditions,really told on the Panthers.
Sure they were without a couple of players.But their debutant replacements served well.
And the other telling point is that this whole squad played it's 1st game together.
Good times to be had this season....for both clubs.
