What a day - for all the wrong reasons (well almost)

I leave home at 11 o'clock to catch the 11.22 to Hornsby
I was meeting my mates on the 11.52 at Hornsby from the City which was going to Gosford. Only due to a fatality at Berowra it didn't run

Two of my mates called it at day at Central there and then

Two other mates decided to make the effort and caught a train up the North Shore line but they called it a day in Hornsby with hundreds and hundreds of other Roosters supporters who couldn't get through because the rail line was closed

A couple of hundred of us were ferried by bus to Cowan and eventually a train came and took us through to Gosford. I should have been there at 12.30, I got there at 2.15pm

The crowd at 12,500 should have been 14,000 but even so, the atmosphere in Gosford stadium was great. What a fantastic little ground for Rugby League

The game itself was a dire pile of shite with the Roosters stopping trying by halftime as they were leading and had too much defence for a Titans team without a recognised half and a makeshift hooker.

I got back on the train and got back to Pymble at 5pm - 6 hours after I'd left and with only two piss poor beers all day.

Luckily, my mates that had stopped in Hornsby met me at Pymble and we had a right crack for 2 hours, catching up and shooting the breeze. Finally, after so many f**k ups, the day ended alright

Go you Roosters
