Feel a bit sorry for the Raiders, Houston didn't even play tonight. Luckily Captain merkin and his sidekick Tyrone Ploderts tried to fill the void though.

Raiders should be right up there next season, have been incredibly astute with their signings for this year and next year.

Finally call a forward pass from Knights and it's their only backwards pass of the night.

 Did get a laugh out of them calling the backwards pass and letting the forward ones go. It was opposite day out there.

50 tackles in our 20 lol

Knights suck

And a better completion rate plus more possession. The Knights winning the stats battle but losing on the scoreboard has happened several times this year.

Lee has potential to be a good player but his defence is awful at times. coming up & in like he didn't have a clue what he was doing. if he doesn't sort it out soon might be a better option to move Waqa to the wing (he makes some bad decision too at times but not as bad) & bring in Leilua to centre.

raiders really need to sort out their defence if they want to play finals footy. also don't like the strategy to kick early all the time with the go forward & attack they have, they were doing it last time they played too & might have cost them that game.

We would be just making up the numbers tbh. We are good at belting shit teams but just miss the edge that would put us among the good sides.

Went to the game tonight. Well played Canberra you shit on us from a great height. Austin and your pack are terrific but jesus your fans are the biggest bunch of whingers on the planet. I've never experienced anything like it before. Most games there are few dickheads who scream penalty after every tackle but there was 6000 of them at the game tonight. I know it's cold and the place is a shithole but you were winning and winning well. It was like a crowd full of Skeepes.

What an indictment on the Knights
Absolutely shameful shit, every stat in their favour, refs in their pocket all game, still lose 13+

I remember a game the Broncos played in 2013 that transpired in a similar manner. The Raiders raced to an 18-0 lead then the referees did their best to keep the Broncos in it. No hand of Foran's or anything like that, but very timely penalties and a couple of calls including one on Dodds that should have gone the other way. Even with that assistance, the Broncos were never in it and I was feeling pretty embarrassed for the team, especially after the result against the Warriors at Suncorp.

It's a tough situation for the Knights. I don't think there's many changes you can do to improve the 17 other than hoping they'll finally stand up and show something in defence. They let the Raiders run all over them, quick play the balls which enabled them to isolate defenders and when you do that, you bring one of the best support players, Blake Austin into the game and it's all over.

Spose like the Broncos in 2013, you've got to start playing for the future. What they did was bring in Ben Hunt at 7 and he started showing some really positive signs. Canberra did something similar by moving Wighton to fullback (while the Tigers gave them a freebie, moving Austin to five eighth). First thing they can do is move Kidley from fullback and back Mamo or even give Ross ago if they think Jake is down on confidence.

In saying that, it was a good win for the Raiders. Not sure if I can read too much into the contest since your blokes packed it in somewhat after the score got to 24-0 but the effort to get there was great. Big couple of weeks coming up against Cronulla and Penrith and I'm looking forward to those clashes.

I dont think the Raiders packed it in, i think they got tired. They had no ball.
At the end of the first half they were tired... got a bit of a breather, came out and smashed them again early in the 2nd half, pushed it out to 36-4, and then barely saw the ball again and were dead on their feet in the final 20.

I think we know where we are at. A side that belts bad teams and can't quite hang with the good teams.

Regardless, the next couple of weeks will be a true reflection of where the Raiders are at.

Agreed
Expecting to go 1/3, which I think fairly represents where we are as a team, which is good on our day, lacking in consistency needed to beat teams like the Sharks, cowboys and panthers week in and week out

I love when we beat them but I feel a bit sorry for the Knights. I think they are a shoe in for the spoon. A club with such passionate supporters deserves better.
