Great to get the win in such an entertaining game. Score doesn't reflect the effort put in by the Storm. They were unlucky on 3-4 occasions not to score a try and were also desperate enough to stop the Warriors scoring a couple of times where they looked odds on to go in.

In the end the difference was two tries, a bit of SJ magic and a freakish play that will probably never be replicated with no real defense against it.

great effort cronk to stay with SJ at the end!

storm will make the 8 as long as they get 1 or 2 players back. the whole side was pretty poor in the 1st half but the young bloke hunt was awful. storm might have won the game if hunt isn't at left centre & cost them 16 points early. bellache should of hooked him at least after the 2nd. bad camera work, they should have been showing bellache a lot more.

i don't think we will be seeing hunt again for a long while!

Can you imagine if SJ was playing for an Australian club! He would be the most marketable footballer in Australia, just awesome to watch. Great for the game in NZ that the Warriors have him and will for a long time yet.

They should beat the Roosters?

damn didn't know it was easts! but easts haven't been great in attack this year, fergo hitting form will be a problem. you put in JT or cronk instead of pearce in that side & they will be beating teams by 20+ every week!

if the warriors play like today they can beat anyone, but what i meant before, as you know there's a good chance they wont turn up next week. hope not, will be a great game if they continue this form.

All too well.

I think 6-7 of our last 8 games is against teams who are fighting in that logjam for the top 8/4 spots so there shouldn't be any excuses for complacency. And one of those other games is Manly who we usually play shit against.

Unless you played us every week.

The only time I can remember you guys not really showing up was in 2010 for our first game after the cap scandal.

We were pretty ordinary in Melbourne this year. Good to see us back to business as usual against you guys today!

hope mcfadden can get them playing some consistent footy but wouldn't bet on it. they should have confidence from the few wins, some lucky off SJ magic but you never know...

warriors & raiders have been similar the last few years, both great attacking sides but both inconsistent & problems at times with defense & handling. both teams have been a problem for the storm & have given it to them a few times the last few years.

good to see both clubs getting better & both should be in the finals next year.

good take on things...Storm is rebuilding & possibly punching against their weight atm, despite the 'big 3' the inexperience in the team is telling & keeping them way down there atm.
Manly, like the Storm are an institution that finds a way to be competitive. For the first time in a while the Warriors have a good mix that just might go all the way considering they have built on their apparent inability in the past to see out the 80. As a kiwi, for the first time ever I hope if anyone does it, it is the AK (lol) Warriors

Very entertaining.

Johnson is worth the price of admission alone.

Smith and Cronk are pure class
Mate... I keep telling people around the joint in Auckland that next year Johnson & RTS are going be the hottest ticket in town.

They should be packing out Mt Smart every week.

Here's my two cents...Storm have a young team at present and it is a definite rebuilding phase but having said that the likes of Proctor, Harris, Bromwich Finucane and Hinchcliffe need to step up and they are leaving it to Cronk and Smith to win games.

Kaufusi, Asofa-Solomona, Welch, Munster, Kennar will be better with a season under their belts and I actually think Storm will be lucky to make the final 8.

The Warriors were good today...defensively strong and Johnson was on fire...not really much more to say but the better team won on the day.

Bellamy needs to sign another experienced winger and centre to strengthen the backline next year as well.

Comparative wise the Warriors were fielding just as a younger team as the Storm. What looked the difference was talent and skill. The Warriors 'young team' players are a reflection of there success at under 20.

This will definitely still be a tough game (even though Warriors seem to pull out some awesome craziness for Melbourne games more often than not). Storm will be desperate to get back on the winners board to prevent dropping down the ladder, and with the added bonus of Cronk returning and Smith's 300 they'll be fired up.

I'm hoping for a Warriors win of course, and with the confidence from a brace of big wins displaying our newly found 80-minute games (been a few weeks since the 60-minute fall asleep mark) I'm hoping the streak continues.

C'mon the Gubbster!!!

Wooo, now THAT is what I call awesome craziness!!!

What a day, meet the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase here in Wellington and come home to this game!!! Sleeping well tonight!!
