Looks like round 1 was a fluke for the Eels. Will 5 consecutive years of missing out on the 8 turn into 6?

Call me harsh but personally Champion's effort there was pretty pea heart. He was standing up 20 seconds after the try was scored, surely could have at least stayed upright hopping on his good leg to at least give a perception of a full defensive line

The only injury that justifies staying down there is a broken leg.

Agreed he could have at least crawled, just give him self any chance of making a play

I'm sure if the ball came his way he couldn't have done anything but f**k at least stay on your feet. As soon as he was laying there (not screaming in pain mind you) it was a flashing beacon to attack him.

Eels played well. Will do well this year, still don't think they will make the 8 to many useless merkins in the back line.

Norman played very well. Wicks looks like he will be good for us. Lussick needs to go on the bench. Happy with the effort from the boys. Robinson needs to stay on his f**king wing though!

Sandow turned up last week, same as the last 2 seasons. Does he ever put in more than 1 good performance every couple of months?

Anyway, we're back on track and once Mbye gets some game time we'll look more dangerous on he edges.

he was off injured for a quarter of the game. came back on and tried to spark something when we were on the back foot. Did you watch last season mate? he didn't play till round 3. He had a good year last year.

Impressive but still room for improvement. Should've capitalised better on the first half dominance but thankfully got the rewards late on.

Hopefully this bodes well for Brookie next week.
