The Titans had one completed set in the second half. That is why they got a hiding. Nothing to do with the refs. The Panthers weren't all that good though.

The Panthers were quite clearly the superior team and the Titans second half was disgraceful, but that shouldn't take away from how bad the refs were.
The first half plus Idris' third try was nothing short of shambolic.

Panthers were always going to win that, I'm not sure why the refs put themselves under so much pressure by making such poor decisions against the Titans.

I thought Gold Coast looked a pretty decent attacking outfit in patches they were just let down by the final pass or terrible referring they have some decent young players and i think if they don't let their heads drop they might do alright this season if they can get their suspended players back in time.

Penrith were excellent in the last 30 minutes if we can combine the first 50 minutes of the Dogs game with the last 30 minutes of today's game we will be a force to be reckoned with.

Give credit to the Titans.Against all odds they had their backs to the wall and they played as well as they could. It could be argued that blow-out of a scoreline they didn't deserve.

Especially after only trialling 8-0 at ht.

Just hope for the clubs sake that Bird and co make a comeback ASAP.

The Panthers have copped plenty of hidings like that in their history, and I'd have been OK with Jamal's last try not being given. The Titans are a spoiling sort of team, but they really did drop their bundle late after doing pretty well in the first half.

And the Idris hold up before half time was no way near a try.

The Brown one wasn't either, there were 2 under him and a 3rd joined in to keep the ball about 20cm above ground.
That was one the refs got right.
