I think we'll hit back hard after the Souths defeat.

Penrith have a supremely talented bunch of young players. But I reckon we still cream them in the middle of the field with the likes of JWH, Moa, Napa, Evans and Liu.

Having said that Jake Friend remains a huge loss against quality opposition. He's so important to us; and his absence brings us right back to the field.

Still, Roosters by 8.

Panthers capable of an upset. They've shown already, they have what it takes. It will come down to mistakes and penalties. They weren't fazed by the scary Bulldogs pack.
Hopefully, us by 8 and the dawn of a new era.

You're $2.70 underdogs for a reason.

That'd be accurate if Friend was playing. But without him I'd have you at $2.15.

Panthers odds have dropped a bit. Soward will miss the next 6 weeks with back spasms.

Hoping it means Moylan gets a shot at the 6, but expecting we will see John in the halves.

I wouldn't be moving Moylan. No point weakening another position and having to move the side around again when Soward returns.

The article says he could play this weekend pending the results of scans - If he doesn't play I can't see us winning this one :(

Should be a good game. Pity about the time slot.

Roosters to start a little slow, then put the foot down for 40-50 mins, then throw the game plan out the window in the final 20. Thats been pretty much the story of our last 6-7 games of footy.

Whether or not we've built up enough of a lead during that 40-50 mins is anyone's guess.

If sowards out hard to see the panthers getting up. Massive shame for them and for his origin chances.

He was no chance at Origin. It's between Reynolds, Maloney and Keary. Seem to be pretty much set on a small group of players.

Even worse is that halfback appears to be Hodkinson or Pearce. No chance at Adam Reynolds getting picked unless they're both injured.

I think we will truly miss him in the next 6 weeks. Wallace just can't step up to carry the team like Soward did when Wallace was out.
