I was impressed with the Dragons resolve.

They bounced back well from a horrible period in the first half and pushed Melbourne until the final whistle. The Storm looked clearly rattled and if the combinations had have been better we would have had a lot more to talk about.

Not the best from Melbourne, and I'm sure Bellamy reminded them all of that after the game. I'll be interested to see how they go in Rounds 3 and 4. Two away games in New Zealand (against a side they struggle against) and the Sharks (a real gritty side that will keep them honest). I think those games will tell us a lot more about Melbourne and how they'll fair this season.

From a storm point of view we got a little lucky. Can't be making these sorts of errors and expect to get away with it. Will take the win but if we want to push for the premiership this year we need to get off to a good start.

I'm outraged by the bias hometown refereeing....by these dodgy park football referees.
The dragons made stupid mistakes but it is hard to beat the Storm with 19 storm players on the field.

Yup. I mean, I'm a one-eyed supporter but don't think usually I view the refereeing through Red n White tinted glasses. That however, was atrocious. I'm especially baffled by the forward pass call.

He comes in a close second. I still haven't forgiven widdop for booting us out on the full v bulldogs attempting a 40 20 during golden point. In addition to his lack of creativity. Rein is an idiot in his own league, but if widdop was doing his job it would ameliorate reins inadequacies.
