At least this week we've made the opposition earn their tries s little more. Storm scored through weight of possession rather than pure ineptness in defense.

I can live with that.....sort of.

Attack looks sharper, but still too pedestrian. Need more impact in the middle, a couple of offloads and stagger the Storm line before RTS/SJ get the ball.

The thing I don't get about perenara is when he gives the penalties he does. Both sides could be slowing the ruck down for a good 10 minute period, then of a sudden he'll blow a few penalties to one the sides when they are on the attack 10 out from the try line for ruck infringements.

Yep, it's a joke. The rule says you can't attack the legs if one of your other players is holding the player upright (canon ball tackle). There is no rule about tackling around the legs in a 1 on 1 tackle. How the f**k do referees not know the rules?

Legs tackles regardless in the NRL now seem to be a negative. As a kid your taught to hit low and slide down as a bootlace tackle.
Nowadays it's done and absolutely no advantage is given to the defender as he'll be penalised for immediately not releasing. Goes against everything we teach kids when they are growing up to play the game.
