Mick Pattison is another one I considered but I thought despite his talents, injuries really ruined his career at our club.

Yeah true mate. I was actually surprised how many of the boys were local juniors... Bob O'Reilly for instance was one I didn't realise was a local junior.

Keith Campbell was a westie and played his Junior Footy at Seven Hills also.. A few other Sevo boys are Graham Olling and Andrew Hill (only for part of his juniors), John Delaney, Don Mosely and Brad Arthur.

Geoff Gerard is a Parra Junior .. - Cabramatta

Vic Hey is another local Junior - Guildford and I believe Vic is actually the first Junior to represent. He played for Australia in the 30's (though he was at wests then)

Paul Langmack also played a fair portion of his juniors at Guildford but a majority was at Fairfield Pats...

Asked a few questions of former Eel Ken Hurst who advised that Keith Campbell would have been the first serving Eels Junior player to represent Internationally in a Test Match but the Bear was the first International cos he played a year before Keith in the World Cup.... :) Sorry Stags.. I misread your post earlier...

John McMartin = Champion...

John McMartin was certainly a champion hooker in the days when scrums were a contest for the ball. He had the best or second best scrum-win percentage in first grade in his day. But I wonder how he'd go in today's game where the hooker is usually a small, nippy player - almost a second half-back?
