Perth Reds idea of a training centre at WAIS/ McGillivray/UWA Sports Park (whatever the precinct is called?) ain't bad. The Western Force are already based there. The WA Govt was supposed to build WA Rugby a new training field too, after their original home at Perry Lakes was turned into housing. Instead the WA Govt played two birds one stone with the neighbouring WA Athletics Stadium.
An extension to facilities could see a WA NRL side cohabitate with the Force. Just like the Storm share with the Rebels and the AFL's Melbourne Demons. The Force have previously shared the facilities with the Perth Glory.

Alternatively I prefer a dedicated Rugby League HQ and Training facility at the South Perth Lions home base, George Burnett Park in Karawara, near Curtin University. There's enough room for an NRL facility and for South Perth to remain, and up to 3 fields. Maybe such a facility could team up with Curtin's sports science department?

George Burnett Park is slightly closer to the GPO and HBF park than UWA Sports Park. The neighbouring suburb of Como is the population centre of Perth.
The location has very easy access in close proximity to the Kwinana/Mitchell Fwy that runs the whole length of the long Perth Metro area. Its surrounded by the relatively affluent river suburbs of Manning, Salter Point, Como and very close to Mount Pleasant, Applecross, South Perth, Kensington. Desirable suburbs for Players, coaches and staff etc
*granted Perth Red's suggestion is also a very nice area of Perth.

Not a bad location, I watched the Fremantle Roosters play South Perth Lions (Bears NSW Cup Captain Kurt De Luis’ junior club)
at George Burnett Park.

Luckily the guys on here representing Perth are a minority, because if they weren’t I’d be walking straight into NS Leagues Club and saying f#ck the Perth idea right off.
It’s two fellas - Rocky and Bullwinkle and sometimes Always Green but he is just confused and in his experimental phase.

Needs to be independent of any existing local club.
