For purpose of Wiki artciles we're writing on past GFs can anyone tell me the christian names of the following Sharks from the 1973 bloodbath > R Corcoran, R Wear, C Wellman, G Bowen, J Maguire ? And is G Bowen the same guy who played for the Dragons in the Front Row in the 71 GF ?

Ohhh the memories....

And Mr Bowen had a blinder too. Was a proud day for us Sharkies fans that day.

Headlines read - that we may as well not show up because Manly were going to flog us bad..

I saw this game not that long ago, and it was clear to see that despite being seriously outgunned, our boys put in and provided a stellar, gutsy performance. A day all sharks fans can be proud of.

There are 50 or more WikiContributors who are members of a WikiRL project. About 5 of us in Aust are currently very active in producing an article for each of the 100 NSWRL/ARL/NRL seasons since 1908. Within those articles are GF team lineups and a GF report. Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_South_Wales_Rugby_Football_League_season_1973 for the 73 article. The discussion page on that article links to a WikiProject RL page. We would welcome your involvement though I know you're busy with your own tremendous site. Trust you're aware and happy that a handful of Wiki RL Player articles carry links to your site. Would love to use some of the images such as you've posted here but Wiki is extarordinarily pedantic about usage rights and clearances on every image uplifted.

Johnny (Muggsy) Maguire was a Maths teacher at my old stomping ground, Endeavour High. These were the days of course when the players all had full time jobs. IIRC Russell Fairfax was the first player to turn "pro" and give up his day job (I think he was a teacher also).

From the same era at Endeavour I was at school with Rick Bourke's sister and Steve Edmunds' brother .. a real Sharkie breeding ground it was in those days - dunno if it still turns out our youngsters like it used to ...

Put it in my to do basket and yes I am slack

Paying jobs keep interfering with my social life and hobbies.

Its the same with me and the retro hour on 2sm. I've got the computer link up all worked out and remember it at about 5.20pm every afternoon.

Have you seen him lately
