1990 Grand Finals and other things

I have been watching these today....

We were in all three grades and won the President's Cup against St George and First Grade against Penrith and lost reserves to Brisbane in extra time.

The President's Cup was very interesting, in that it featured two superstars of the future... Brett Mullins in the centres and Jason Croker on the wing. Almost every player the commentators rapped as future stars didn't come through.... but those two did....

And I just saw Chicka Ferguson score the first try of the First Grade after a 40 metre pass from Ricky Stuart... incredible!

Brain teaser for the day: What were all the scores in the three grades?

OK, I'll be the mug that gives all 3 grades.

Canberra defeated Penrith 18-14 in first grade, after knowcking off Brisbane in the Preliminary final, coming back from a loss to Penrith in the Semi Final.
Brisbane defeated Caberra 14-6 in reserves after the Raiders defeated Penrith in the Semi.
Canberra defeated St George 16-12 in the President's Cup, after knocking off Parramatta in the Preliminary final and losing to St George in the Semi.

1990 Canberra came top of the table in all 3 grades after the regular season.

And Bay, thanks for the vote of confidence

OK... the prize... is...... as I understand it Ed is very unhappy with his apprentice... so we are starting, on Ed's behalf.......... THE APPRENTICE II!

Jed is the first qualifier!

OK... next question....

In the 1990 Grand Final, who replaced Nigel Gaffey? AND, who replaced Paul Martin?

I object ..... I gave the scores for pres cup and reserves first, 1st grade score was already posted, therefore no need to repeat. :?

Better than that - Wayne Carey is a former AFL player.

Greeneyed, in the words of Donald Trump, "you're fired"

I don't think we should fire Bay just yet.... as he came close.

Next question is: who won the Churchill Medal in the 1990 Grand Final?

Bay... you qualify twice... this gives you a LIFELINE....

OK.... who scored the winning try for the Raiders in the 1990 Grand Final... who did he receive the pass from... and what happened in the lead up to the player who set up the try receiving the ball?

Matty Wod scored the try ... cant remember who threw the last of many passes, I'm going to guess loz ... the lead up involved a dropped ball from a Penrith player.
