I'm going off the figures released by the media.

Cowboys $22.7m
Warriors $11.6m

Almost twice as much revenue generated by the Cowboys.

Auckland has 1.6m people.

Townsville has 202k people.

A few years ago it was just 160k.
Maybe we can oversaturate the Brisbane market like Sydney 🥳

Brisbane could easily accommodate 2 Brisbane city based teams as well as a moreton bay(redcliffe) based team.

By 2050 we could see Brisbane hosting four massive clubs.

Out of all the bids, the only one that ticks all the boxes is the Brisbane Tigers. Perth is only talked about because the WA Premier won't stop whinging to the media about Western Australians not having a seat at the big boys table.

Technically we've never oversaturated Sydney, the game (this comp) started here, if anything we've taken away from it moreso, you can't look at it thru a fresh lens, and say there's too much, there's too much history to simply wipe away 9 Sydney clubs and turn that into 5 or so, it's what Rugby union did they took away the tribalism instead of keeping the stronger clubs and they failed miserably, 1st grade clubs create 1st grade players, creating more in already heartland areas can only be a good thing, 4 SEQ clubs is a no brainer
