hundred partnership between Cook and Bopara came up in the over that just finished, Cook into the 90s now with 2 boundaries in that over and England are now 166/2 after 34. England are on track to make 290 odd, over 300 is a real chance too.

Century up for Alastair Cook. Superb knock  103 from 111 balls, including 11 fours. England 175/2

Bopara reached 50 and fell a couple of balls later to Ajmal, stumped (just like me a couple of days ago, except I didn't make 50 ). England 188/3 after 37.2

England have slowed down a fair bit since the loss of Bopara. Cook is still batting quite nicely, but his partners have been a tad useless. Cook topped his own high score a while ago and now has the top score at this ground, currently an unbeaten 132. He just gave the strike to Kieswetter who holed out. England 222/5 at the end of over 45

Cook just got bowled for 137 by Ajmal and now it's hard to see England getting much over 250. England 230/6 after 46.2

Cook gorne for 137....

Don't where he pulled that innings from.
he actually wasn't as bad as the rest of England throughout the tests. He seemed to be seeing them a lot better in this match though, and these are the types of innings he is capable of.

Patel starting to throw his bat a bit, couple of boundaries off the last over. England 253/7, heading into the final over

I just got out of the shower to see Steven Finn on a hat-trick in the third over of the Pakistani innings. Tremendous start for England in defence here. Pakistan 11/2 after 2 and a half overs. Mohammad Hafeez and Asad Shafiq were the two wickets to fall

4-42 and Finn doing all the damage so far.....Might as well keep bowling him and get it over and done with.

Better crowd for the ODI than the test matches but still a poor turn out.
