this reminds me of that CH game in sydney a couple of years ago... when Harry came out with a dislocated shoulder at the death to try and save NZ... he couldn't do it... and sadly it was the great man's last innings.
Lol I was thinking the exact same thing.

Yah! Well done Scotty! Had some good support from the 'apparently bad tailenders' today. Nice start for the series, both sides played well making it another great game.

You can put whoever you want in that Kiwi team, bottom line is you won;t get close to betting the Aussies in an ODI match. I predict Bollinger to get Man of the Series and be all over the Kiwis. Aussies are just too good in the ODI format and have basically there full strength side to choose from.

Sorry, what was that, douche bag?

Franklin lost this match, too many dot balls.

That said, the partnership that Franklin and Taylor were putting together was basically a run a ball for the most part, so Franklin played a decent role in sticking in with Taylor for a while, till obviously he got out. Guptill's innings wasn't the best, very uncharacteristic for him to look flustered.

Good innings from Bondy too under pressure. Pretty decent having a bat like him basically batting at 11. He's got some good shots through the off side in his arsenal.
