Paedo?

My post was later in time, though son.

yeah. you've inexplicably started calling me son. so I've started calling you paedo

Taylor for Anderson means that McClenaghan is not replacing Anderson's batting..Taylor is.

Now piss off paedo

Oh I call you son because your arguments are naive and immature.

I did not know you had such a terrible father. But it explains your anger.

Antilag, nobody respects you. Nobody. No Australians. No Kiwis. At best, people politely tolerate you. But you are a joke.

It's not ad hominem as much as everybody despising and pitying you. You're a joke.

That is still strictly an ad hominem fallacy, though pity may be a rarer one.

The attributes (real, perceived, derrogatory or otherwise unless claiming expertise) of an author of an argument is irrelevant, son.

I'm not really into T20, but I am really looking forward to the ODI's. It's pretty clear that Pakistan have a lot more to offer than Sri Lanka. We should win the series, but who knows?

Looking forward to seeing Irfan again. There's something awesome about a 7 foot tall giant running in to bowl

Yeah they usually have some great talent, add unpredictability. Shame it's not an odi and test tour, 20:20 is hard to take too seriously, but their bowlers were too good last night

A chance, but everyone has a chance

Williamson is key IMO, the hitters all have profound weaknesses

I think its a little more specific than that - aside from Kane, the others are fairly average at playing spin - almost Shane Watson-esque to be frank. It was interesting the other night watch Williamson play a bog average innings against spin, but still get to 70 and nearly win it with next to no support (Munro aside). That showed mental class to me. Guppy in the last game was struggling with his timing and tempo but he held his nerve and caught up his strike rate easily. That was a positive sign.

Watching India v Australia, I think batting down under is not that much of an adjustment v bowling spin down under. My concern for the New Zealand bats is they're not really being tested by variation in spin at the moment. Imad Wasim had them tied up in stitches in game one, and basically he bowls one pace, and one length, all he tries to do is cramp you up. If you can't handle that basic approach, well, we're a bit light on in the subcontinent. Taylor is one example, the ball angling in and he goes to custard.

I know Guppy's every second man's favourite dog to kick, but my word he's had a hell of a home summer, in fact he's been par excellence in NZ for 15 odd months now. On its day the top 3 rivals most around the world, but I'm still concerned about the subcontinental wickets hurting our chances.

Sure... but get enough hitters in there and you just need 2-3 to fire.
As long as Taylor and Elliott can handle the Williamson role when he fails, we'll be fine.

I'm fine with Guptill in the limited over formats...just not Tests.

KW's T20i SR is faster than Guptill's.

KW has T20i career sr of 130, and it is increasing. Gayle is about 140. Because KW plays along the ground and is orthodox, people, including commentators, assume KW is playing an 'anchor role'. I do not think that is how KW sees his role - and I think he will aim for a SR similar to last year of 160+ while still predominantly playing higher percentage low risk cricket shots.

He will not hit 6's all round the ground and break T20 records for fastest 50's like Guptill and Colin. He will not hoic over mid wicket for 6 like Ross Taylor will regularly attempt in the final overs.

But I think that he will look to score runs as quickly as he is able and do what is best for the team.

He's a dead set freak, our most valuable player in any format IMO
