Hawkeye isn't 100% accurate, and it had the ball clipping the top of the bails. Benifit should have gone to the batsmen.

it will when the poms bat. its the same incompetent umpires as last series.

LOL

You lot are killing us in this test and yet you're still having a whinge about two fair deicisons.

You must be the first person who believes that an edge onto pads should be given as LBW. Then again, being a Pom I can excuse you for being a bit thick.

Disagree. It was right in line and on this pitch the bowler deserves abit of benefit of the doubt. The height was only marginally in doubt as hawkeye showed. Give it to the bowler for once.

So i nthe rule books it says benifit should go to the bowler on good batting wickets?

Theres some doubt on 80% of lbw decisions. Should we just only give them out when they're hit dead in front low on the pads on the back foot?

Lets just make it easier to score millions of runs these days.

It can pitch outside the line of off stump

Yeah i know - but when you combine both elements to him deriving his decision, was there any benefit of the doubt?

Both were out. Hawkeye proved it. What would it take to give an LBW in your book Twiz?

I just find it strange how you can say "hawkeye showed it hit the stumps, poor decision?

it wouldn't have hit the stumps Tommy, it just clipped a bail acording to hawkeye

the reason I said poor decision, is because if its that close there is alot of doubt

it can hit the stumps and pitch outside leg stump and not be given out, hitting the stumps isn't a prerequisite of an LBW

the Gilly decision, according to hawkeye, hit leg stump from around the wicket, same scenario, alot of doubt I thought

doesn't matter now, its history

I wouldn't have given either of them out

why for once ?

the rule of BOD should apply all the time

why should there be a change "for once"

Ponting's was fair. IMO he got a good one against Giles early on anyway I can accept taht. But IMO the Gilchrist one was ordinary to say the least. You should have to straighten the ball from round the wicket to get a lbw.

I've said it all along, Simon Jones is the difference between a competitive series and Aussie Dominance
