Lets be honest here, Forrest isn't in our top 11...but Warner, Watson, etc pick themselves. I hate Bailey as much as the next one but he was very good in the last series. Again I want Ferguson to play 12 months of good solid cricket before we consider him.

I'd hate to see Philander on a green Tasmania deck, he'd tear us apart for sure, but on a flat deck good for batting he's pretty useless.

Violently disagree! Our main aim should be to burn Steyn out for Adelaide. Bat, make 700, make them chase an uncomfortable 200 ish in a session and a bit at the end of day 5.

They won't burn out Steyn - or any of their other fast bowlers for that matter - chasing an impossible victory. They could effectively have Smith and Rudolph rolling the arm over for large parts of the second innings with the odd 4-5 over spell from Kallis and Kleinveldt. They've got a week off. Steyn will be just fine.

hopefully bat on tonight and get slightly ahead, use the first session to try and blaze a quick 100+ runs. then have 2 sessions at them knowing the pressure's on them to survive.
