Pattinson for Starc only change me thinks.

There was talk before the 3rd NZ test, resting Hazlewood for this WI test maybe not so now.

Wonder if Siddle will be kept? You'd imagine someone like Bird is more deserving

Haze will get a 2 week rest but Siddle was rubbish, surely they can see this

Billy was saying in the Cricket show that they look for 140K bowlers and Sids can barely manage 130ks so he really needs to go, not to mention he didn't take any wickets in the Kiwis second innings, MMarsh was better than Sids.

Would like to see Pattinson and Behrendorff in, Siddle and Starc (injured) out.

Bird is the leading wicket taker in Shield cricket and its his home ground.

Coulter-Nile hasn't played a FC match since March. Jackson Bird is currently one of the leading bowlers in the shield. Coulter-Nile also coming off a suspension for acting like a child during a 2nd XI game.

I am confused by this selection.

I'd preder Behrendorff as well over NCN, I hadn't realise he missed the game vs the Vics.

This Boland bloke is a bit of a bolter.

GW here,

You need to replace like for like.

Doug Bollinger will come in for Starc and Pattinson for Siddle.

You heard it here first. I know cricket.

If NCN plays that will be a joke. Pattinson offers a lot more and Bird is in form and Hobart is his home ground.

Coulter Nile is a fine selection in and of itself, bit over Bird and Pattinson and even Behrendorff is an odd call

Boland is a plodder from what I've seen

Behrendorff is injured again, out for some time.

Boland is no better than the John Pastings disaster:lol:

This obsession with pace is laughable, how can you have a bloke who hasn't played a shield game in 9months in contention for a baggy green???? No wonder our quicks are breaking down all the time.

If the pitches are as flat as the last 2 summers we kind of need bowlers hitting 140+, but at the same time it's no surprise when their bodies break down. It makes practices like CA forcing Pattinson to sit out a Shield game (when he was fit) seem kind of pointless when they continue to serve up these roads that are destroying them in the first place.

Just seems like the entire strategy of keeping our bowlers fit (pitches, resting players, picking others with no Shield form etc) is failing dismally - Starc, Cummins, Pattinson, Harris, Behrendorff, Bird all fairly seriously injured in the last 18 months - it could hardly be any worse if you tried.

And the decision to delay Starc's surgery so he can play in the T20 WC, to me, is absolutely ridiculous. Can anyone imagine Glenn McGrath doing that lol.
