Look I hope we win...but seriously cannot wait for Ricky to retire.

Great batsmen, one of the best ever, great fielder, one of the best ever.

Shocking, terrible, hopeless on the selection panel.

Not saying the next will be better.....just over this team and the selections and order.

Great performance from the Australian seamers.

Billy Bowden - fair dinkum. He should go to the centre with a hearing aid and a guide dog. Muppet is the worst umpire going around and the only reason he gets a gig is because of the freaky 'I'm a clown' finger act.

More chance of Katich going down than Watson. Watson is our best opener by a mile and you stupidly want to move him...will not happen.

Either one. I want him bowling more and it hard for bowlers/keepers to bat top 4 then have a big day in the field or bowl 30odd overs then bat for 4 hours that's why I said him. He would be better then any middle order we have atm he's one of the better fast bowlers in Aus ATM and needs more overs

our openers are our best batsmen atm, and have been for a year or so, it would be foolish to change them, yet our middle order is pathetic

thats where the problem lies, and we could do with a spinner to push Hauri out, the Indians love facing him. Putting Smith into No 6 can solve both problems, he may struggle to get wickets initially but we really cant persevere with Hauri for much longer

I really don't think we lose much if at all with the ball with Smith over Hauritz and we gain a better batsmen and a MUCH better man in the field.

Smith over Hauritz just makes sense IMO.

Agree that Watto and Kat have been the best along with Pup, but dropping one of them down would bring some stability to the middle order.

As for Hauri, I completely disagree. He has done a fantastic job over the last few years. He doesn't have much going for him in terms of skill, but he always chimes in with important wickets. Even Warnie and Murali struggled in India against their batsmen, so we can't judge him on this series.

The only way Smith should be there is if he bats at 6 or 7. But our middle order isn't stable enough to take that risk as yet.

Hauri has only ever got 2 five bags in his whole career and that was only just recently

for an international bowler he has bugger all variation in his flight and turn and he's far too predictable

he used to tie them down but now he cant even do that, he's the most average bowler to ever represent Australia imo

Hauritz
Bowlling average: approx 32
Strike rate: 64

Harbajan
Bowling average: approx 32
Strike rate: 67

I'm not saying that he is great and i'm not real a fan of him, but i think he's doing a fair job. We can't compare him to Warne. He's getting the 2 or 3 wickets every innings. If we had a better pace attack, then this conversation probably wouldn't be happening.
And yes he's only got 2 5 wicket hauls, but then you look at Watto...He's only got 2 centuries and an average below 40. He's probably our most inform batsmen, but in terms of stats, he'd be at the bottom of the list for international openers.

Maybe play a 4 fast bowler attack then. I rate Watson as our best bowler but if the bowlers were good maybe he could just be a batsmen bowling the odd overs. Then I would have no problem with him opening. Sangakarra gave up keeping, Kallis barely bowls. I don't want Watson to not play because he does too much work. He fields in slips so is always thinking.

He would bowling in 20/20 and one dayers to keep up form

Haddin, Smith, Johnson could handle 6/7/8 quite easily

stupid decision to bowl hauritz with an attacking field. theyve added 20 odd way too quickly here.

Get one of the other quicks on.
