We needed a big stand between those two to be any chance of a competitive total. Our attack is class but our batsmen still need to get around the 300 mark consistently. Cant see that happening this series unless it's Smiffy and Warner making the vast majority of the runs. The Darshes and Bancroft are both shit and Khawaja is a lazy peaheart who can't make tough runs

That being said, the Jaarpies struggled with the bat against Jasprit Bumrah and Buvneshwar Kumar....

I still think this will be a low scoring series where the bowlers stand out more than the batsmen. Late season pitches in SA aren't going to help the batsmen either.
