We mightnt've been premiers that year, but it was certainly a memorable year for the Blue and Gold. So much has changed since 2001, and I thought I'd do a "where are they now" on the squad of players that made 2001 to be a great year for Parramatta. Not just first grade, but the lower grades as well.

1. Brett Hodgson (Wests Tigers)
2. Luke Burt (still playing)
3. Jamie Lyon (St Helens)
4. David Vaeliki (Wigan)
5. Jason Moodie (retired, not sure what he's doing now)
6. Michael Buettner (retired, some job with the NRL I think)
7. Jason Taylor (retired, current PL coach)
8. Nathan Cayless (still playing and still captain)
9. Brad Drew (Huddersfield)
10. Michael Vella (still playing, and getting back to his 2001 form)
11. Nathan Hindmarsh (still playing and still killing them)
12. Ian Hindmarsh (Canberra, UTC in 2006)
13. Daniel Wagon (still playing)

14. PJ Marsh (now back at Parra, after a 2 year stint with the Warriors)
15. Andrew Ryan (Bulldogs captain)
16. David Solomona (Wakefield, I think)
17. Alex Chan (Melbourne, 2006 not sure)

Chad Robinson (back at Parra)
Scott Donald (Manly, Leeds in 2006)
Daniel Irvine (Bulldogs lower grades)
Pat Richards (Wests Tigers, Wigan in 2006)
Danny Sullivan (retired??)
David Westley (retired???)
Ben Duckworth (retired??)

Lower grades

Wade McKinnon (still at Parra, returned last year after 2 years at Souths)
Colum Halpenny (England??)
Chad Halliday (Penrith??)
Paul Dal Santo (???)
Mitchell Sargent (North Qld)
Steve Witt (Newcastle, 2006 not sure)
Adam Wheeler (Wests??)
Jason Power (???)
Dayne Neirenkx (???)
Greg Boulous (???)

Danny Sullivan is definately retired. He was a big hope for the future then he got injured in a semi. We waited a couple of years but thought he wouldn't recover so we released him and the Warriors signed him. He played 1 game and I think got reinjured.

Ben Duckworth, scored on debut and never seen again? He was young wasnt he. Why the sudden retirement.

he was actualy in his late 20's..spent several years with the Tigers and at one stage was their captain but unfortunatly injuries runined his career and like Sulli and Willi Leyshan had an extremely dodgy knee and a very bad back.

I would go as far as saying he was the most talented Parra player to only player 1 first grade game at the club.
