Something worth discussing I guess.
Seeing change is imminent, I would like to see a change of captain.
Two reasons;
Kimmorley is not a good captain.
Kimmorley needs to have his leash pulled in on the field.
Lazzo used to perform the latter at Melbourne & Kimmorley was a much better team man & player.
My suggestion may shock a few but I think it has many benefits.

The only three talkers in the team at the moment seem to be Kimmorley, Peach, and Nutley. Bails talks too, but all i can say about that is, not yet.

I'd pick one of those three.

Vagana seems pretty f**king quite when he's on the field, and in the games ive seen its not asthough he's constantly rallying his troops. He'd probably go alright at if given the chance though.

I reckon the boys would want there captain to be someone who has been through all the current sh1t that has been going on. NOT some newbie who's never had a taste of being a shark.

The only one of those is Peach.
Nutley probably not a bad idea because he is there for the 80 generally, but I don't think so.

Kimmorley talks too much & prevents too much because he thinks his plays are better plays.

I was referring to Bird for premier League captain.

& Kimmorley can steer & guide us around the park all he wants.
Just as long as the directions & times are supplied by someone else.

I must admit I would rather see BK without the captaincy for his own good. Being the halfback, I would still expect him to steer the team around the park, and do most of the talking - halves do that by default without being captain. Much like the current situation for the roos. I think it would be better if the questioning of the ref and the media responsibilities are left to someone else.
IMO Brett's best path for the year, is to say very, very little off the field and put in an amazing year on the field. *I'll even throw in incentive, say nothing for 6 months Brett and watch the offers for exclusives roll in, can't do it as captain*
This leaves the question of a replacement, Peachey has passed it up once, once is enough for me, best left to his own game also.
Vagana, as a well respected internatonal looks all right. Handles the pressure of the media well, only has to lead by example on the field with a few choice words here and there, as previously pointed out by many, Peach and BK as half and fullback will do most of the on field talking anyway. As an added bonus Vagana was not associated with what can only be described as a disastrous year for the sharks, fresh focus.

However if they go with Brett, that is fine, I would however expect headlines.

As long as we start winning games.
