2004 gone, 2005 will be no Better

Even with new signing Riddell and possibly Morrisson and Tahu, we wouldn't be much better as we are weak in the most important position on the field - HALFBACK. If Dykes goes to Cronulla we'll be even worse off.
I haven't been a Dykes fan but let's face it, he's basically all we have.

Witt will make a great 5/8 I believe, he's in the mould of a strong Barrett.
Tim Smith who we have all placed our hopes on won't be ready for another 2 years. Giving him a run in 1st grade this year could be positive and negative.

I honestly believe that Tahu will sign for Manly. Monaghan won't come to us as Canberra are stronger than us and have offered him a big 3 year deal already.

We have lost so many good centres, Lyon, Tonga and I'll even say Mogg.
I'd love to have Mogg back, he's very good defensively and causes defences problems. It's hard to believe we have a problem at centre now.

Without having a good halfback next year, I can't see us doing more than trying to snatch 8th spot next year. I hope I'm wrong and we can go all the way, but somehow it seems like a long lost dream.

That is all speculation. Let's wait till next year before we have a go about decisions made towards then. We've still get the rest of this season to struggle through and let's just hope next yr brings a whole new yr.

Halfback's not the problem its the coaching style, if it doesnt change then its obviously gone for next year.

I disagree.

I believe the most important positions on the field are the forwards.

We saw Saturday what a forward pack which is on fire does.

We need our forwards to dominate and get over the advantage line EVERY time.

THEN we worry about the halves.

hope we sign those players, but i hope somehow we punt the coach.....to the point where i almost hope we don't win a game for the rest of the comp, just so BS is forced to go.......i know thats a big call, but i'm serious, the underlying problems are so bad its not funny
