Caine Dougy and Burns with Ciraldo coming in fourth.

I think we got the best one amoungst that crew although Caine has a thing or two to prove yet.

Your a genius Macca. What a side! Shame we lost some some of them. Where did Kris Pyper go?

Travis was offered peanuts to stay is the answer as to why he wasn't kept.

Anecdotally the choice was reported to be something like $5,000 to stay or $15,000 to go.

There is little chance Burns would have had a decent crack at 1st grade if he had stayed.

We make a good habit of NEVER giving young halves a go.

Russ Aitken was just about the epitome of pedigree, and he saw f**k all 1st grade.

Being a young player at the sharks is almost a career killer. It's like the Aus cricket team. It's 100 times harder getting out of the team, than it is to get in it.

Anybody know how Russ has been going down at Melbourne? Or with Brisbane Norths? I remember Steve Rogers stating that one of the reasons we didn't chase Scott Hill was because we had Russ Aitken waiting in the wings. What happened? We tried turning him into a halfback and then we barely saw him get a chance with an established half inside him.

We were his downfall. Us and coaching error.
