Want to know the truth.....
Other teams see Vella as soft
Probably didnt want to hear that but its true,
he is soft
Until the big guys go forward nothing happens and Hindmarsh can only do so much
TIME FOR VELLA TO STEP UP FOR YOU-or cut him loose 8)

Newcastle after a new forward are they?

Yes Vella does need to step up however the other forwards that we have purchased should do enough of that anyway.

I reckon they'll be looking for a new half back soon too.

What's his name is just about finished. ;-)

what's that? Gidley's finished before he's really started? ;-)

maybe Hagan will give Witt a crack... so that Hindy can run straight over the top of him

with more diversity in the forward pack next season, vella will be more free to play his natural game

and let's not forget he's always been the strongest defender in the team

I think next year we'll come 11th and Smith will quit and there'll be a mass exodus of star players who have get out clauses. My bet is they won't go with Smith though.

In 2005 we'll get the spoon.

I think we'll be somewhere in the 6th-10th range, hopefully on the right side of the ledger this time! And anything that happens in the semis is a bonus.

Let's face it, there HAS to be improvement shown, and our for and against points difference this year was only marginally behind Penrith's (when averaged across 26 rounds) and they are minor premiers!

This year was pretty screwy from a long way out, but in 2004 the whole club (players, coaches etc) can do better. And will have to...

El Duque: that'll mean we should make a grandfinal by 2007???

Parra_Eels: What the hell what would you know about the players listed???
4 of them have played atleast 20 firstgrade games this year, another 4 have played a couple each, 1 has had a fantastic season in ESL where he got man of the match honours in the British equivelant to state of origon. and the other 2 had not played any NRL match this year but still come to the club with a great deal of expectation.

Wwll, if bloody Penrith can make a GF with their squad, we should be able to as well.

George, Top 4 should be the achievement. Should have bloody been the achievement this year as well! And last!

As for Wagon, if all he is good for is running straight, then I reckon he could better serve the team by being chief orange peeler!

After this years performance, I won't be accepting anything less than a playoff position. Mainly because I because I believe just about everysi8de who didn't make the 8 this season have boosted their player strength it'll make for the toughest most competative season in history.
