2005 Off-Contract Bulldogs Players

The following players are off-contract at the end of 2005, they can all talk with other clubs after June 30.

Out of the following, who do you really want the club to keep and you do you think they can afford to let go for 2006?

Brett Oliver - should let him go
Tony Grimaldi - I think he will retire at end of 2005
Willie Mason - A MUST keep & i think we will retain him
Braith Anasta - unless he plays for less money then i couldnt care if he leaves
Sonny Bill Williams - also a MUST keep, is the future of the dogs
Willie Tonga - am 100% confident he will stay
Andrew Ryan - Recently re-signed for another 4 years. (great news)
Jammal Lolesi - would love him to stay but with the other big names off contract he might not be resigned especially with a capable replacment such as harris (want him to stay but)
Corey Hughes - dont think we need him as we have a bloke coming through by the name of Marty Mitchell
Nathan Myles - should resign as he is a future rep player & is still young & might get given a crack this year
Adam Perry - want him to resign but its not the dogs firs priority
Cameron Phelps - a MUST keep as he is a future star & when anasta leaves he will be a good replacment but will fight it out with Marvin Karawana
Trevor Thurling - good player of the future & should retain him as we have lost a few props in the last couple of years
Beau Robinson - not too sure
Adam Brideson - should be let go

Yeah, Dog4Life has it pretty spot on from my POV too!

Just a further note tho - Nate Myles impressed me greatly in the WCC!...Full of controlled aggression, and never took a backwards step!...I thought he had a fine game that night, for one so inexperienced!

He's got a bagful of potential allright, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him given more of a run in our top 17 when required this season!...Around Origin time & what not!

Trevor Thurling also impressed me on debut vs Manly last year, I recall - These are 2 young forwards we should really try & keep!..>We've lost the likes of Glenn Hall, Rauhihi, Scott, Feeney etc etc from our backup forwards stocks!...So hopefully guys like Myles & Thurling are the future!
