While I'm thinking about it, I think the only top grade on contract players for 2006 we have are Sutton, Minichiello, Cusack, Hegarty, Kearney, Rigon, Williams and Young.

The rest are going to have to earn it in 2005 which can only be good for the club.

Just found on another site that Richo has resigned David Fa'alogo. He intends to have Ashley Harrison, Luke Stuart, Scott Geddes and Luke MacDougall on longer term deals before the 2005 season starts. He is confident that they all will stay.

All other players off contract have to prove themselves. This means people like Byrne, Peters, Polglase, Marteene, Walker and Watts amongst others.

I heard that the Dragons will be going all out to sign Ashley Harrison for next season...hope its true as he is a great player but I also hope he stays at souths for that same reason.

I think he will stay at Souths -> at least I hope so. The talk is that Richo is confident and is starting/started negotiations

Bryan Fletcher will probally find himself in England but maybe with the birth of his child he might stay.

Fletcher and Harrison would be obvious.
Most players should be let go if they come wooden spooners again.
With all the players you should see how they perform on a week to week basis.
Mark Minichello is a good talent but he needs the support of the other forwards.

I think Scott Geddes is a pretty good player to keep when he is not injured and he was on the sidelines a fair bit too much last year. Fletch is good value for another year or so and McDougall has the "moungrel" like his famous brother. Willie Peters is good on his day....ahhh keep some and gain more!!!!!!

to me it looks like Ashley Harrison is the future of the Souths basically....

Us roosters should look at him for a replacement for ricketson

I really Hope that the Souths go well this season There my 3rd Favourite team behind Roosters (1) and Warriors (2)
