7 players have gone to super league
2 players have gone to the titans
how many other clubs have lost this many players after winning a premiership in the space of 2 years

i think alot of other clubs have been far worst

2003 Panthers have lost from GF side
Campbell (titans)
Girdler (retired)
Whatuira (Tigers then UK)
Gulavao ( souths)
Gower (uk)
Sattler (retired)
Joel Clinton (Broncos)
Martin Lang (retired)
ben Ross( Sharks)
Luke Swain ( titans i think)

Thats 10 of 17 gone

Dogs been hit very hard losing quality

Anasta (roosters)
Omeley (Roosters)
Mason (Roosters)
Asotasi (souths)
Price (NZ)
Sherwin (uk)
Thurston (cowboys)

Broncos 2006 quality Lost

Tate (NZ)
Webke (retired)
Berrigan ( England)
Civoniceva (Panthers)
Thorn (retired)

Cant really count storm yet as its too early to tell but already lost Matt King.

quality players that have left tigers are
Prince
Laffranci
Skandallis
Richards
whatuira

So i think we have done preeety well compared to other teams in terms of replacing quality players that have left

Head (hopefully touchwood) for prince
Ellis for laffranci
Galloway (big fan) for Skando
Tuaiaki for Richards
Lawrance for Whatuira

Hahaahha I still remember *&*&*&*'s story at the club after 6 of them couldn't put him down at training - `why the f**k don't you do that in a game' ... big year for keefy and it could go one of 2 ways - he establishes himself as a top notch prop or he becomes someone who has `unfulfilled potential'

Laffranchi and Prince should never ever ever ever ever ever ever been let go.

Princey was a true leader on the field and Laffranchi was the workhorse in the pack every team requires.

Fatz, Fitzy, Richards and Elford were a nice solid three quarter line when being fed quality balls from Benjamin and Prince with Hodgo chiming in.

Aaaah, the glory days, please bring them back.

If Head and Benj stay fit we will be a very competitive side this year.

Hodgo
Tuiaki
Lawrence
Collis
Youngquest

Benj
Head

Payten
Faz
Gibbo
Heighno
Payne
Fults

Halatau, Galloway, O'hara. Galea, Morris, JuniorBurger, Flano, Bronson. + the young halves Ryan, Gallant and the Fijian Monsters we have more depth than an olympic diving pool.

Ellis on the way may also attract others.

All revolves around Benj and Head.

The only two Im dirty about really are Prince and Laffranchi but I dont know that whatever we offered would have been enough.

I agree with MOTH (cant believe I said that!!) on Big Keef, this is the year we know what he's about. He could be anything I reckon but hasnt shown much bar a few games against his old club and after someone puts him on his arse he goes hard for a while but hope Sheensy gives him every chance this year cos when I first saw him I thought he was a potential rep footballer but on what he's shown so far he's barely a first grader.

Keefy could be anything ... or nothing
Remember the try he scored against us in 05 on the Friday night
Ambled onto it, 4 players trying to put him down and carried the 4 of them 10m

Prince we were never gonna keep cos the pussywhipped one's wife was calling the shots. She hated Sydney the poor thing. I'd hate Sydney living in penriff as well and i don't earn anywhere near what Prince did/does - perhaps if they lived somewhere better they may have liked it ... or maybe it was all part of her evil plan to get them back to Qld. Wench

Laffranchi was from there and i guess that is a factor we could never offer as we could never overcome geography.

I agree i think laffranchi agreed to go to the titans before he hit form in 2005

prince agreed to go for GREED i reckon he would have stayed if wests tigers put a few more dollars on the table or even if there was an offer ..

Prince didnt go for greed. There was a variety of reasons why he left. He wanted to go back to QLD and as Mulli mentioned his wench also hated Sydney. How anyone can not like Glenmore Park is beyond me.
Prince was just an employee of the club. He had no love for the WTs like Benji and others have. He got his premiership ring, served his contract well and went looking for the next challenge.
Theres no doubt we would have offered more than the Titans but he made his intentions clear.

Laffranchi had been our best Forward for a number of years before he signed with the Titans.

RE: Prince, as has already been mentioned, he didn't leave for money. Wests were prepared to offer him up to $400,000 to stay.

The players that have been lost that annoy me are guys like Rangi Chase. The club claims its recruitment and retention policy is about holding onto the juniors and then they let Chase walk away to a starting job at the Dragons while Wests struggle with a 7/6 combination of Morris and Fulton, or Morris and Fitzhenry or Morris and Lawrence.

In my opinion Scott Prince is the only player that has been unreplaceable. This seasons side is much more talented than our side that won the comp in `2005, the coaching staff just need to get the right blend and the players have to live up to their potential.

MOTH, what would have been the point on hanging on to Rangi Chase ? He`s no playmaker, therefore he hasn`t cut the mustard in the halves, he`s best as an impact hooker which we already have well and truly covered.

He would have been a perfect plan B for when marshall has been crocked the last 2 yrs .. at least he can provide an x factor ... i agree this side is perhaps more talented but maybe also more prone to calimitous f**k ups
