I wouldnt mind seeing withers from the bench with carney starting
but IMO it wont happen, which means Carney needs to get plenty of bench time

I originally had Lomu on the bench, but it's him or Miller really.

As for Milne, in that 3/4 line there are 3 genuine attacking players in Graham, Ale and Frawley. Someone like Howell, solid in defence and good under the high ball, is needed.

I like that team looks great. We have quite a bit of depth at hooker now as to be able to leave tounge out is some feat. From what elliot has been doing Tounge has been playing prop, back row and hooker so i guess he could be on the bench and be used like that again.

17. Zillman (havent seen him play yet, So i'm keen just to check him out)

Players who shouldn't play first grade in 2006 - Thompson, Kahler, Mogg, Howell, Gafa & Robertson.

Tongue, Hodgson, Cross, Williams & Nathan Smith on the fringe of FG.

Frawely will be a waste of cash so I haven't included him.

I really want Zillman in the FG backline next year. He is fast, dynamic and has good ball skills. IMO he would make a brilliant centre. I believe one thing that we are lacking is creativity in the backline. Guys like Robbo, Mogg and Howell have heart but not much else, Gafa is just bad and Graham and Chalk are great hole runners and great with ball in hand but are not 'creative' backs. Frawley hasnt seen enough footy to be comented on.

With the hopeful inclusion of Carney at halfback in 2006 having another ball player in the backline will hopefully take some of the pressure of creating all the attacking opportunities off Carney when Smith is injured. I think it will also be a big positive having another half playing consistent FG, even if its in the backs, to step into the halves when (if) smith is injured.

Doesnt Zillman also play halfback? I havent really followed the progress of our youth. You guys seem to rate him so could be good having him in the centres with ale, and the wings of graham and another young guy. Without the injuries we seem to have a ton of backs.

Yeah he is a halfback/5/8, sort of in the Mclinden mould, he is playing fullback at the moment in PL and doing quite a good job, i dont know about everyone else but it think he could be a good centre.

Now that is a utlity Mr Elliot. Oh space for him in the raiders side has to be starting somewhere or else we have too many utlities on our bench.

If everything went well in the off-season and everyone was fit to go my team for 2006 would be:

Backs

Schif
Milne
Ale
Graham
Chalk
Smith
Carney - Has to play in the same side with Smith and should be training in the offseason to build a combo like Morris/Smith dd at Parra

Forwards

Weyman
Woolford
Thompson
Kahler
Leyroyd-Lars
Croker

Bench

Withers
Tilse
Miller
Hodgson

Lomu and Wlliams will go great in reggies.
