I have heard that ricky wants to bring allong some mates to sit on the board and bank roll any sackings/changes he wants to occur.

This statement is just hysterical let alone not possible one iota. This is what i was referring too. It really is the funniest thing i have read. It is Danny and his lack of knowing his ass from his mouth, or which one to wipe anyway.

We all know he reads this forum.

Hi Danny :nwave:

Lets dig up the constitution debate again for Danny's sake

Maybe the bloke ricky and john have been meeting with has his own plans about how the make up of his ticket will look come march election time ? :)

Comments like " maybe a few changes on the board are over due" have been coming from people on the board all this year, self preservation is the highest priority. What a good way to get out it all looking good, stay on the board but re-shuffle the team to bring in new, better qualified blood and support ?

The toga's are on and the knives are sharpened at captain cook drive.

Spider, if these new "businesmen" mates of rickys sit on a ticket come March and are elected fairly , what is stopping them ?

If the ticket is headed by our own incumbant president it would easily be done yes ?

You dont "run the place" by sitting on the board but you do have influence. I didnt hear it from Beeker either

Money talks

Why would prominent business men want to put money into the club and get nothing in return?

Maybe Ricky doesnt want to be at the mercy of any board like he found out he was at the roosters

Absolutely nothing stopping them doing it that way.

If so - who is the Presso going to steamroll/backdoor to do so? One would think they [the board] are a close unit at the moment will all the decisions going on. They would be standing firm so to say.

The fact that "decisions are being made" mate indicates nothing towards the tightness of the board at all IMO.

Did fordham and Stuart sit and talk turkey with THE BOARD for a few hours ? were THE BOARD on the phone to Ricky and fordo for a few hours yesterday ?

No mate, just the decision maker. The one who makes the calls and the board follows.

In your opinion Beeker if you truely believe one man would make such massive financial decisions on his pat malone - you are delerious fella.

Baz is just the middle man, the talking man, acting on behalf of the board. You know this brother.

Your logic abandons you "fella" , if Barry is merely the middle man, why does he hold negotiations solo with stuart and his manager ?

How is he the middle man ? He presides over our board. what Barry says goes, this is clearly reflected over the years as he has sat unchallenged in the presidents chair leading the same board, and when an individual steps down , a new member is sourced and added to the ticket as required, but always a "yes" man.

One independant Director found the dictorial nature of the board so ridiculous and useless that he resigned, why waste his time ?

THIS I know "Brother".

because it is his job to report to the board.
The directors have voted him in as head honcho because they have faith in him, to do just these things. Cheif directors from all organisations do exactly the same thing & this is wy they have a president.

because presidents do what the other directors dont always have time to do becaue of other interests.

Probably not, Just like you "knew" that your Titans had their eyes on their wallaby wingers, and Mat Rogers was certainly not one of them :)

The deal with Ricky was done and sealed prior to their meeting last Saturday so he was not acting one out

When was it sealed mate ? At which board meeting did they discuss and and decide on it as a board ?

So they're basically lying now as a board by saying that the decision will be made at the board meeting tonight ?
