Well you always seem to bag out other clubs fans for poor crowds. I guess he's asking if you are going to bag out your own supporters

He can do what wants. I made the effort to get there. To be honest I could say the same about Brookvale - our average in 2007 is 16008 after 11 home games, Manly's is 14,533.

As for phonetic, Saints are sitting at 12,400-odd.

I think we make the effort - personally I do, so say what you will.

I did a rough guesstimate cuz I didn't have last nights WIN figure in my head. I just guessed around 18500 and went from there.

Looks like I was off

Those last two crowds are great stuff. Good to see the rivalries draw in the people.

Aye. 3rd and 5th highest crowds at WIN Stadium ever. Great stuff.

I'm still miffed about that round 13 crowd though. The local derby against the Sharks on a public holiday and it could only pull 12,455. Quite odd.

I went to that Sharks derby at OKI and I'll say now, outside the CSSC (who maliciously destroyed the fence *drops bait*), Cronulla bought ZERO fans to that game. Looked much bigger than 12k thought TBH, the hill was standing room only and the new stands on the eastern end looked pretty full.

Having said that, that was the Pub Hol weekend where much of greater Sydney (in particular further north but the Sydney basin was affected) was smacked by the super storm that took out most of the CC and Newcastle.

what a sad crowd for a 1 team city

In hostile AFL territory at an archaic venue.

Not bad.

Not far off the crowds for the second-placed Sea Eagles, who cover the entire northern part of Sydney.

Load of crap and you know it. Besides the fact that Parramatta cover the Hills District and Penrith the Hawkesbury, Manly cover a catchment of 250,000 people, the other 500,000 left in Northern Sydney traditionally hate the club. For the population we've got to draw from, we do very well. Quite frankly however, if we don't start drawing from North Sydneys catchment in the medium term, we're toast as a viable concern in the NRL. And no team in the Northern Suburbs is an awful long term result for Rugby League, Because Norths won't be returning in Sydney.

The Storm bashing is a bit silly however.

They're not. Down by about 1000 on 2006. If we hadn't have played about 75% of our games at home during the terrible weather, it would be a different story. But that's life.

That's nice. You're barely in the first 8 teams when it comes to averages, and about 2-3k below the season average.

EDIT: Check out the thermometers on mwse.com.au... you guys are worse than both the last two seasons.

Sh*t venue, no transport, terrible Weather. Roads to Brookvale (The Wakehurst Parkway) was closed most of the day of the Souths game, which massively killed our average.

Pricks need to start voting for someone besides Tony Abbott so they spend money pork barrelling the Northern Beaches.

Brookvale needs millions and millions to be made a respectable ground.

The money should be spent on airlifting the whole f**ker out of Brookvale.

Or on a mind control ray to convince the yuppie f*ckers who live around it to sell their houses and plug the proceeds into building a new Stadium. We could stop after about 10 houses and rebuild the SFS.
