Knights have definately got more chance of being Bottom 4 than Top 4.

Miracles will NOT happen. Titans last No doubt!!

Souths for top 4.
Souths won 3 games last year. The key to rebuilding is the setting of goals that are of reason, aim for top 8 then build on from that if it's a success.

i might be a little bit crazy, but im seeing the rabbitohs winning double digits next season... just have that hunch that foresaw the broncos loss against the dragons, the win against the knights, bulldogs and the STORM!!! hehe

i'll probably be wrong and this one might come back and bite me in the ass, but meh~!

Don't get your knickers in a twist.

The Knights have very little depth compared to other teams, hell even the Titans have more depth. I listed the 3 teams with the worst depth because anyone who has been paying attention during the last 6 seasons will tell you how important depth is in the modern game to cover injuries ect during a year.

Elliott promote juniors? He'll promote your junior hooker to halfback and push Gower to 5/8. That's about it i'd say.
Honestly? I'd be fine with that. It would guarantee Aiton a spot in the starting 13.... it would give us a very solid 5/8, and Priddis is a great player.

None of the 6/7/9 would be weak. But still, i can't see him doing that. Gower is the halfback, it's simple. Assuming he isn't injured... or terribly out of form, he will be assured of the No. 7 jersey.

IMO:
1. Wesser
2. Gordon
3. Jennings
4. Lewis
5. Rooney
6. Wallace/Trindall
7. Gower

I can't see him changing much to start with... and it won't be our halves that he messes with. It's our centres/wingers. We need to unearth some great centres for next year.

Mate it doesnt matter what neone else thinks... tbh no one really knows what will happen next year. I mean look at Melbourne this time last year they were picked near the bottom and looked what happened. Same with wests 2 yrs ago.. happens every year.

My opinion though is im not really expecting Newcastle to make that great of impact in 07, we may make the 8.. just but wont go too far from there.. i actually picked us between 9-12.. hope im proven wrong though. I think we will go through a rebuilding stage in the next couple of years, with all our jersey flegg boys coming through and making quality purchases once Joey is gone.

lol holla's a tad sensitive. But I also think it may be a struggle for Newcastle. Losing two of your best backs this year will not help, and Johns was starting to look his age at times in 06.

My bottom three

14. Titans - Too hard to gel first year
15. Souths - With Rusty running the backline they are in trouble !
16. Canberra - Too many good players have left, the juniors will take a year or two

Souths better hope their forwards fire as the Bunnies backs are lacking IMO.
Bottom 3 for the red and greens

Im a Cowboys fan, but I wouldn't rule them out of wooden spoon contention.

There is something seriously wrong with the club + they have lost a sh*tload of depth (Hannay, Cooper, Amos, Tanielu, Hannay, Sargent) + Ty Williams out for 10months, Bowman possibly not playing ever again and only added Jason Smith.

And it looks like the board has learned nothing and is going to Ok Murray being away for 6 to 8 weeks during the crucial part of the season again.

The only thing in their favour is that they will probably get very little rep players picked (Thurston, O'Donnell and possibly Webb only), and if they struggle early people will be callling for change.

14th - Dragons - Lost Barrett, Bailey and Timmins and that will have a massive impact on them.
15th - Raiders - Lost Schif, Mogg, Smith and Croker and the only things saving them from the spoon are Carney and Tongue.
16th - Eels - Lost some great players such as Vella and Morrison and Coach Taylor.

Dragons in the bottom 3, you are dead set kidding, they still got Gasnier, Cooper and Hornby to score points so Barretts loss won't affect them, Timmins missed the whole year pretty much, and Young is way better than him, and Bailey whilest a very good player, can be covered for with the amount of promising props coming through their ranks, Dragons will make the top 4 imo.
