Might be cynical, but I suspect everything that can will fall their way, so that they will be in the top half of NL1 in 2008. They just have to make sure they get the people turning up to the games.
The RFL wouldn't increase the number of teams just to let two of say Widnes, Leigh, Halifax, Workington Town etc relive their top flite glory days? They'll probably favour Celtic Crusaders and Tolouse for 2009 if it's at all close.
