from the WT's website:

LETTER TO MEMBERS FROM SCOTT LONGMUIR

On Monday November 3, Scott Longmuir will officially take over as the CEO of Wests Tigers from Steve Noyce.

Over the past week, Mr Longmuir has written to all Wests Tigers Members to introduce himself and to update them on some exciting changes happening at Wests Tigers.

“I plan to touch base with you on a regular basis” Mr Longmuir said in the letter. “I appreciate you may not always agree with our decisions, but I do hope our communication will ensure that you can at least see the logic behind them”.

Mr Longmuir steps into the CEO’s role after spending the past two-and-a-half years as Wests Tigers Marketing Manager, during which time the club has achieved many outstanding off-field results.

In his letter Mr Longmuir also outlined the hard work being done by the Wests Tigers coaching staff as they strive to improve for the 2009 season.

“I have every confidence in our coaching staff and know they can turn things around”, stated Mr Longmuir.

Mr Longmuir finished his letter by encouraging all our valued members to join in the celebrations of our 10 Year anniversary in 2009.

“There will be exciting activities and initiatives that I’m certain you will want to be a part of. We look forward to sharing a wonderful season - and some memorable highlights - with you”.

Wests Tigers 2009 Membership will be released in the coming weeks, so sign up for 2009 and become a real part of the team.

Gallant vs McDonnell - we know who is the better option- but guess what? We know who has had their contract extended early in the process.............

BTW- I'm not against McDonnell, I think he is OK, but nothing fantastic- I would not have extended his contract at that early a stage. Gallant gives 100% every opportunity.

Lord knows how Ellis will go time will tell. There have been some great Pomme forwards play out here and some duds. Harvey Howard was good value for the Maggies, more recently Adrian Morley was good (either like him or hate him).

My only reservation with his signing was surely, of all the positions WT's have in their squad, a back rower was the position that least required filling. Prop / halfback yes. Anyway, atleast he is a name player- if he performs and WT play OK, without being brilliant, they can attract some name players to the team in 2010 after the long awaited clean out at the end of 09. (yeah, I know I'm dreaming- but I can hope cant I?)
