Timmah, what effect did you put on the photos?

Each photo was colorized using the Hue/Saturation control, then I merged the panels all into one layer, duplicated that layer, free transformed it so it mirrored itself, downed the opacity to about 50%, then gradient filled using the background colour so it looks like it fades into the foreground.

Once you've done it once it's pretty straightforward, just requires patience.
