I'm only new to AFL, so I must know sweet f**k all about the game. I barely noticed him, apart from him looking like a gayer version of Steele Sidebottom, which is something only Christopher Pyne has managed before him.

What game were you watching? 29 possessions, 11 tackles (9 at halftime), 6 clearances. Had most of those stats before the 4th quarter junk-time as well. Class act, deserved winner.

Fabulous win to Collingwood. All over them on the day and a just reward for being the top side across the season.

Well done to Mick Malthouse and Nick Maxwell too. Both handled themselves impeccably after the match and the former, in particular, has never looked or sounded better for mine. Very classy.

Sad for the Saints, but its a hard game, and premierships are always so damned hard won.

Big congrats to all the Collingwood fans on this forum, AuckMel especially, Enjoy every moment of it...

Haha wow, a whole 11 tackles. What a workhorse.

My major gripe with AFL is the wankfest over the number of possessions a player gets. I want to see quality, for me he didn't do much that stood out. Thomas, Maxwell etc did a lot more in my opinion. As I said, I'm new to the game, so I must be missing something/ a lot.

Not that you know much about the game. Biggest bandwagoner since I knew this Geelong fan once.

I didn't stick around to see who won the Norm Smith. I haven't left a game early since 1989, so forced myself to wait until the final siren to leave. I knew we were stuffed at 3/4 time, so that last quarter felt like possibly the longest I've ever endured.

I have said this time and time again. Premierships are not won with your top 6 players, they are notoriously won with the bottom 6 players. St Kilda's bottom 6 players are downright awful. I am sorry to be so blunt but seriously Peake and co are rubbish. Lets compare that to Wellingham, Blair, etc. All of Collingwood's 22 do tehir role. Peake, etc helped Collingwood in both finals. If Hayes did not play the GF of his life, St Kilda would not have got within cooee of the Pies the first time around.

Pies are too good, Pendelbury was always the safest bet and regardless of what happens in the NRL final I am up this week!

Brilliant. Where were you sitting? Did you sneak yourself into any of the shots being taken while the players were doing their lap of honour?

I always like the morning after the GF when you win too. Over to the shops to buy up all the major newspapers, is what I'd be doing.

Haha...

It doesn't conjure up nearly as much imagery as AA in the batmobile, but I'm quite sure Nicole's dad will hold a perversely special place in Magpie hearts from yesterday forth.
